Our Vision
Our vision is to create a home from home setting in Maidstone where children feel safe, loved, confident, and happy, where they can grow and discover their imagination through experiencing a variety of fun and challenging learning activities in a range of environments. We achieve this through carefully planning the children’s daily learning activities, using the EYFS framework to meet the each of children’s individual needs. Our children’s well-being and development is our main priority and they are encouraged to develop positive relationships, socialise, and be creative whilst playing with each other, keeping safe at all times, in a friendly and stimulating environment.
Andrea Baker
I have two beautiful children who are my world. My eldest is five, and my youngest, is nearly two. Both of my boys are very sociable and love to play and make all the children welcome in our home. As one of seven children myself I was brought up with strong family values and love. I enjoy providing children the opportunity to learn and develop their confidence in a variety of environments. I carefully plan the children’s activities at the start of the week to meet the requirements as set by the EYFS. For example the children really enjoy engaging in mark making activities such as painting and using play doh. The children also really enjoy shape sorting, colour and number recognition along with a whole host of other fun and exciting activities, especially those that engage the children being creative and using their imagination. I also offer after school provision for 5 to 8 year olds and offer to drop off and collect the children from Loose Primary School.

Enriching Experiences - Learning & Activity Plans
The seven areas of the EYFS Framework for Learning and Development (below) are used to carefully plan all of our children’s enriching experiences at the start of every week. Please view the Parents’ Page for the latest Learning & Activity Plans.
1. Communication and language development involves giving children opportunities to experience a rich language environment; to develop their confidence and skills in expressing themselves; and to speak and listen in a range of situations.
2. Physical development involves providing opportunities for young children to be active and interactive; and to develop their co-ordination, control, and movement. Children must also be helped to understand the importance of physical activity, and to make healthy choices in relation to food.
3. Personal, social and emotional development involves helping children to develop a positive sense of themselves, and others; to form positive relationships and develop respect for others; to develop social skills and learn how to manage their feelings; to understand appropriate behaviour in groups; and to have confidence in their own abilities.
4. Literacy development involves encouraging children to link sounds and letters and to begin to read and write. Children must be given access to a wide range of reading materials (books, poems, and other written materials) to ignite their interest.
5. Mathematics involves providing children with opportunities to develop and improve their skills in counting, understanding and using numbers, calculating simple addition and subtraction problems; and to describe shapes, spaces, and measure.
6. Understanding the world involves guiding children to make sense of their physical world and their community through opportunities to explore, observe and find out about people, places, technology and the environment.
7. Expressive arts and design involves enabling children to explore and play with a wide range of media and materials, as well as providing opportunities and encouragement for sharing their thoughts, ideas and feelings through a variety of activities in art, music, movement, dance, role-play, and design and technology.
Our gallery below provides some examples of how we meet these areas.
